To grasp the benefits of therapy, we need to let go of the idea that therapists simply give direction to their clients. Instead, progress is achieved when clients actively learn, apply, and participate in their therapy process. This often means being open to exploring emotions and internal experiences, feeling discomfort, and attempting to change what has not been working in moving towards balance and freedom.
